Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
The scamming company texted me about a job they would like done for Computer Recoveries which included: Reimage the machines with Windows 7SP1, Microsoft Office, AVG, physical cleaning of the machines, and diagnostics of the hardware. They sent me a Fraud Check and asked me to deposit the check into the my personal account. The next day they advised me that I needed to withdraw all but $100 from that check to send to a couple of people so they can deliver the machines. After the sending of the cash to the couple of people, they stopped responding to me. The laptops never arrived and was never paid for the job and the money lost.
