Type of a scam Employment

The "employer" contacted me through a job site and offered me a job. I would be manager of online services. I thought it might be a scam so I made sure not to provide any information that could result in identity theft or fraud. What I was not aware of is that the motive of the scam is to send the "employee", illegally obtained merchandise which I would then be directed to send the package to another location. After getting this email, i did research on the company. There was no results on google, their phone numbers didn’t lead to anything, and their website was only 9 days old. This is an illegal operation and if you also get any emails for job offers from this or any other company of a similar nature, please do not respond.
