Type of a scam Debt Collections

They called and threatened that I was being sued by Citibank for a past due debt from over 8 years ago. I do not have any accounts with Citibank and called Citibank directly to confirm that I had nothing with Citibank under my SS#. I pulled my credit report and I do not have anything on there with Citibank as well. Citibank confirmed that this was an act of FRAUD!!! Do not answers any calls from this number or give any information to this company. DO NOT answer any restricted # calls. They had my full SS# and prior address. Please be aware this is a scam!!!!! They will use threats of upcoming court dates, etc. Put fraud alerts on all your credit reports if you do answer their call. Once you say "yes" or "hello" they have your voice recorded and can use that to open accounts in your name.
