Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I had an advertisement for furniture on Facebook Marketplace and was contacted via text over and over again and responded to get payment – once I received it it included funds to then contact and wire money to currier to come pick up items. Very odd and informed him I will attempt to deposit and put hold on account until it clears and then will contact him when it has cleared. I went to my bank and they pointed out several things to note: paper quality, zeroxed copy of info on back of check, business and bank in 2 separate locations and funds in odd numbers- to name a few.
