Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

As a Craigslist seller I had an individual contact me and tell me he would pay $50 more than I was asking for an antique chair and that he would send me a check as soon as I provided my name, address, cell phone number, deal price. I requested a phone number but he ignored this. I googled "Craigslist scams" and this looked very similar to a cashiers check fraud scam warned about by Craigslist.

Remember, if the grammar in an email seems "clunky" (not the spelling) then english is probably not their first language and they may be using a translator. If they have "clunky" grammar and refuse to identify themselves other than an email address, it’s likely a scam.
