Type of a scam Online Purchase

I tried to make a purchase from this company online and then someone texted me who said his name was Richard, from this same company. He said that their credit card processing was broken and that I needed to pay by another method, such as a bitcoins, an Amazon gift card or Western Union. He was being very harassing and pushy, and I knew that it was fraud so I blocked him. Then he tried to make purchases on my credit card, online, but my credit card company contacted me saying that there were fraudulent charges being made on my credit card, and so I canceled my credit card immediately. Also, the guy said that his name was Richard but then he sent me a text with an email address that was an Indian name! It was [email protected]
