Type of a scam Online Purchase

I visited the website after seeing an advertisement on Pinterest. I began to fill out information to receive a free sample (including my name, address and phone number). I was asked for my credit card to pay for shipping. I filled out my credit card number but before pressing submit I noticed in very small print it said my credit card would be charged additional monies within 10 days as a recurring charge. Something didn’t seem right. I then proceeded to delete my information and did NOT submit my request. Within 1/2 hour I received unsolicited text messages from various marketing companies (I have never received solicitations on my cell phone before) I blocked the numbers. I later received phone calls from numbers I didn’t recognize, no voice messages were left. I received more calls from the same number and when I answered the call I was told ‘My name is Sam and I am with Revive Skin Care we noticed you visited our site yesterday’. This was concerning to me because I never submitted information. I immediately asked to be removed from the call list and told the caller I was NOT interested. ‘Sam’ told me he would NOT remove my name unless I gave him more information about myself. I asked him repeatedly to remove my name and was told ‘he would not remove my name unless I provided more information’. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me that he was a supervisor. When I told him that if he did not remove my name I would report his company he hung up on me. I called back to the number and a different gentleman answered the phone and with ‘Hi *my name*" (he did not identify himself). I asked him to transfer me to a supervisor and he told me that I needed to calm down. I asked him to remove my name from their call list and he told me that he would not remove my name and would not transfer me to a supervisor. I told him I would report his company and he hung up on me. I made one more attempt to call back and a woman answered the phone. I asked her to transfer me to a supervisor and she told me that she didn’t have to do anything and hung up.
