Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a check in the mail for $55.60. It was through CarePoint, P.C. drawn on KeyBank. A low-grade photocopy of a form letter said that, "There was an over-payment. We are refunding the difference to you (patient refund)". I am not a CarePoint patient. I have called Reventics three times. I have left messages as requested. The recording said that someone will be calling me within one business day. It’s been over a week. I have been a confirmed victim of fraud in the past where my SSAN was taken over by an unknown individual.
