Total money lost $400

Type of a scam Online Purchase

Skincare "trial" offered via twitter to women. I was under the assumption the products would be sample sizes and not labeled. Thought it was a test group. Paid for shipping. Received products which was Retinol MD full size. 2 weeks from date of shipment almost $400 was taken out from bank account. Was notified that terms said I had 15 days to return products from date of shipment however there was no return address on package.

More email addresses given when i accepted "trial" and then cancelled trial:

Trial is actually close to $200 for each product a month. You must cancel or they send you products every month and charge you automatically (auto pay).

I went to my bank and received a new debit/credit card (what I used to pay). However they told me I would have to contact Mastercard to deal with this fraud claim. Mastercard does not allow you to submit fraud claims such as this. I believe it is the credit card companies’ responsibility to make sure they are agreeing to do business with legit companies who have corporation numbers and a registered address.

As I understand it was my responsibility to read the entire terms I think it is unfortunate that the "false advertising" can go so far as to scam people out of hundreds of dollars for a small product worth less than $100 retail.
