Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received an email sent through Linkedin from a person I used to work with. Said she was doing the "Mystery shopper" and it was fun. Asked me to open the application and fill out the form, which I did. I got a text the next day saying I was accepted into the program. I then recieved an e-mail with the instructions and the for forms to fill out.

I was instructed that I would receive a check , which I should deposit for $1,850. Take $350 for myself and the remainder I should got to any outlet that has Walmart gift card. I was to purchase 3 gift cards for $500, the scrap off the backing to see the code. Then instructed to take a photo of the codes and send to them by e-mail.

I am sure the cards would be worthless after they got the codes and the check they sent would also be worthless.
