I received a priority mail folder in the mail with a page of instructions (with several misspellings) and postal money order for $974.00. The city/state listed on the sender’s address on the money order says it’s from Winston Salem, CA but the address listed on the page of instructions says it’s from Winston Salem, NC. Now, wouldn’t the Post Office know that they aren’t in California?! These people are so stupid! Don’t fall for any type of scam! If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is! The sender wanted me to deposit the check then withdraw the cash, keep $150.00 as my commission, purchase (8) $100 iTunes gift cards, and fill out the info concerning the customer of the store and service. Then the gift cards would be used for the next assignment. I’m not sure how this benefits the scammer, but it is listed as a Scam.

This is a research program designed to seek real people opinions about various products or services. We are currently running a research project for (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Radioshack, Walgreen, Safeway, KMart, Kroger Store. Your opinion & suggestions will be compiled and submitted to the Research executives for evaluations in order to see aspects of their services in need of improvements. Your are advised to proceed to your bank to have the Money Order for $995.00 deposited for future record purposes. Funds will be available for withdrawal immediately or 24 hours after it has been deposited. Deduct USD $150 as your commission. Proceed to any of the nearest Store listed (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Radioshack,Walgreen, Safeway, Kmart, Costco) to purchase (iTUNES GIFT CARDS).

Purchased 8 (iTUNE GIFT CARDS) at the store. Shopping money …$45. Go to the register and Add Cash of $100 to each itunes gift card. $100 x 8=$800

Scammers advise via letter sent along with money order for the amount of $973.15. Below I haved literally typed word for word the entirety of the letter sent with the money order.
