Type of a scam Tech Support
Pop-up covering entire computer screen in red & advising to call Microsoft & giving an 800 #. Foreign-speaking guy claimed to be w/ Microsoft & said that my computer needed security for HACKERS. Said that my Micro Trend would not protect for hackers. Quoted a fee for over 55 & a 2-yr for other & asked for a credit card. I told him that I only used PayPal, but did not agree to pay for anything.
Then, I received 2 emails from RTS w/ PayPal’s logo requesting me to authorize payment for $179.00 & the other for 249.99.
