Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

Contacted elderly woman age 87 – she thought they were calling on behalf of her doctor. They wanted to send a back brace. She does not have back pain. They called to verify shipment and I was here to intercept call. They verified her address and personal info like waist size and shoe size (both were incorrect) I would not give correct information. I was transferred to a supervisor. I requested shipment which now consisted of shoulder and wrist brace to be cancelled, they said if was already sent. I said we would refuse delivery. I asked for phone number to be placed on do not call list, they said I had to give correct information (back to waist size and shoe size) in order for that to happen. I refused to correct information. Again asked for calls to stop and he said that we would receive even more. We get 10-20 calls a day from different phone numbers. The braces arrived on April 30 by Fed Ex, I had to sign that I refused delivery. Phone calls continue to come, we field thru answer machine, they do not leave messages usually. Contacted Medicare to see if any claims for braces have been filed – so far none have shown up. Also contacted Federal Trade Commision.
