Type of a scam Phishing

The company sent an elderly person a notice that their timeshare was expiring and if they didn’t renew that they would be responsible for fees. The elderly person doesn’t own a timeshare. The letter sent does not have a company name just the address and phone number. I called the number and a female answered. She was very abrasive and rude when I asked who the CEO was and if I could speak to her manager. She put me on hold for 6 minutes and then hung up. The female that answered said her manager was Liz Pike and that her name was Shelly. Shelly stated that the company name was Regioncy Communications. I believe they are trying to scam people.
