I received a call from a company claiming to be "Regional Litigation." The man I spoke with called himself "Philip Gates." They claimed I owed money for a payday loan taken out in 2011, and I was going to be served a lawsuit in my county if I didn’t give them my credit card information to take care of the balance today. I asked for a physical address and phone number to provide to my attorney, and they wouldn’t give one, except to say they are a freelance litigation company. After much debate, they provided a company address of POB 5402, Redding, CA. 96001. The phone number was (844) 885-5618. They use the last four of a person’s social security number in their case numbers. I called the real company, and was told the company that called me is fraudalently using their information, and all this is a scam. Something needs to be done to these predators.
