Type of a scam Phishing

I have received many phone calls and messages from Regional Check Processing. They tell me I have passed a bad check and a lawsuit has been filed against me. When they call their phone number never appears on my caller ID. They ask that I call 309-216-6759 about the matter. I called this number and they said they had all the information about the fraudulent check however, the SS # they have on file does not belong to me. When I told them this they said they would remove me from they database. As soon as I hung up they called me back. I called back and said I thought you were not going to call me again. The girl on the phone was very rude and hung up on me.
