I was messaged directly through my LinkedIn profile about a part time virtual assistant position. Kegan Tarver said that I was perfect fit for a job he was recruiting for with UAB medicine as a virtual assistant. He did not give any information about the job before asking for my resume which I thought was odd. I sent my resume to his personal email. He responded with the job description that I attached. I tried to research Mr. Tarver to assess the nature of the job. The job was not posted on the UAB website and Mr. Tarver was not listed as a member of their faculty. I was not asked for any personal information besides my resume, but I did not trust the information I was given enough to move forward with the job. There was something off about the job, it just sounded to good to be true. You were able to work from home for 5-7 hours a week and were paid 400 weekly by check. You were also compensated 30 dollars per hour you went over. That seemed like a lot of money for little work.
