I received a text message from this number from a someone claiming to be an employee of RCN (they said their name was Braulio Ortiz) saying that they had received a work order to pick up equipment from my street. They left another number (774-922-3700) for me to reach them at. I texted back saying I didn’t realize I needed to return equipment and would do so myself. I spoke with several reps at RCN and they confirmed this was not an employee of theirs, nor were there any work orders/cases for equipment to be picked up at my house, nor do they send text messages in this manner. I did report to local PD and their response was to be vigilant. Not sure if this person was looking for entry into my house (and other scary things) or to just steal the cable equipment.
