Type of a scam Online Purchase

I found this web site and inquired about their puppies. I even asked for video and pictures of the parents. All was provided for me. I gave a deposit via my bank. I attempted to cancel this transaction but was told the puppy had already been delivered to the shipping company and would require me to cancel. when I attempted the company stated only the sender could cancel. I told Christa to go get the puppy, she stated she could not because they would only release it to me. I told her to have them contact me because I could no longer get ahold of them. When she did she told me the puppy had already shipped. I told her I would not complete payment unless I seen the puppy. I had no itinerary information and contacted to accepting airport that informed me this was more than likely a scam since I did not have airline or flight number. I informed Christa again and she stated that the shipping company should of got ahold of me. I told her I believe this to be a scam. No puppy. I did some digging only to find this scam from this website and similar web sites had been done.
