Definite scam company; I get repeated emails from them regarding positions I obviously couldn’t be less qualified for (Mainframe development and React development, among others). The email address they are sent from doesn’t match the email address in the signature, and the phone number listed isn’t real.

Type of a scam Employment

I got a random phone call from a man named Manesh saying he had seen my resume on a job board and he had a position that is perfect for me. He asked some questions if I knew about some of the technologies on the job description and my required salary and then said someone else would send me a email with the full job description and I must send through a copy of my Canadian identity, health card and passport. I did not respond to the email instantly which was followed by an endless stream of phone calls over the next 30 minutes asking what is taking so long. I looked up the company website and the staff listing had fake photos and duplicate names and none of the staff names on the website appeared on the LinkedIn profile

Type of a scam Employment

I was sent an email, claiming a man by the name of Afzal saw my resume on a job board. From my knowledge, I am not on any job boards publicly. Afzal stated in the email to be from Quantum World Technologies, which is a leading IT/Non IT staffing organization. I researched the company and could not find any information that proved legitimate. The email said he found my resume but he requests multiple times that I share my resume if I am interested in the position he is offering. His contact information also lists this fax number: 805-834-0532, which is exactly the same as the office number listed.
