Type of a scam Tech Support

When our laptop computer stopped working due to what appeared to be hacking, we contacted this company who said they could fix it. The company also used the name Sapphire Solutions LLC. After the tech accessed our computer remotely, and showed us evidence about a hacker, he claimed it was fixed and said the cost was $249.99 and that we would have to pay for it using an electronic check through our checking account. We thought it was fixed, but then tried to use it again and it still wasn’t working. We called back and said we refused to pay them and if the charge appeared in our bank account, we would report them as a fraud and a scam. They assured us they would not charge us. But, five days later, the charge was in our checking account when we checked it online. We later learned this company is a fraud and a scam, so we want to warn others.
