Type of a scam Online Purchase

I saw an ad for the Q-Grips Earwax Remover while online. The ad featured rapturous testimonials from product users. I ended up ordering the product as a "two-for-one deal" as well as extra attachments. I paid with PayPal using Discover card. The total came to $75.78 including shipping. I have since found the product for sale for much less, like around $12, and on their website for "1/2 price if you order now" at $35.

I tried the product as directed; it did not work at all. I emailed the company, using link from website. I received a response from ‘Kyle’, offering me 65% of the purchase price, not including shipping, refunded right away and I could keep product. I do not consider this an acceptable solution. They are targeting internet users with an inaccurate ad and a much higher than market price.
