I ordered a Pembroke Welsh Corgie puppy to be shipped from Michigan to my home in another state. The seller did not take credit cards and said they had problems with personal checks in the past so requested I send the money via wire transfer – Western Union. In order to reserve the puppy and make the flight arrangements, the seller needed the money up front. He updated me when he dropped off the puppy with the Pet Delivery service. I got an urgent email and a phone call from the delivery service saying the crate was not airline approved. The seller contacted the delivery service and found out I had to rent a crate but would get my money back when the puppy was delivered. He told me the puppy was at the airport waiting to be shipped and I had to get the money to them right away. At this point, I had a bad feeling and tried to back out but my heart was stronger than my common sense. I sent more money for the crate and the delivery service said when I should expect my puppy. I never got it and got another urgent email and phone call asking more money because there had been no more flights available so they had to board the puppy overnight. The seller followed up with the delivery service and told me I needed to send the money right away and the boarder would release the puppy. I asked for my money back and never heard from either of them. Since then I’ve filed with the FBI, called the local police who found nothing, filed with my local sheriff and am hoping to get some of my money back. This was a mean and horrible scam. These people still have their website up. Stay away from them and any Pet Delivery service that cannot be verified. I thought I had done my due diligence – checking for reviews and scams on the website before making the contact. Nothing showed up, so I went ahead. These people get better each time. It’s hard to believe anyone anymore.
