Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Sara called from Publishers Headquarters out of California. She knew my name and address and asked me to confirm that information to enter me into a drawing/sweepstakes for $25,000 or a new Checy vehicle. I told her that I didn’t feel comfortable confirming or disclosing any of my personal information when I know nothing about any sweepstakes. She repeated her business and stated that they are even listed on BBB. I again told her that I didn’t want to confirm my information and she said "whatever" and hung up. I searched the web and found other scams from similar numbers all claiming to be Publishers Headquarters. They are trying to use ScamPulse.com as a reassurance for innocent people to disclose personal information. Please remove this business so that they won’t use ScamPulse.com to scam people!!!

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Person called saying I had become a finalist in a sweepstakes through my credit card company and promised I would be getting a diamond watch in the mail in 3-5 business days and would be entered in the grand Prize drawing for $25,000. She already knew my name, address and phone number. She then began to ask several identity questions about age, profession, married or single, spouses name. When asked if they could mail the questions to me she quickly got off the phone.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

A lady called Connie called and informed me that I was eligible to win prizes, I was suspicious from the start and asked for more information about the caller, she was not willing to give any further information. I called the Sheriffs department after I hung up and they suggested that I call the BBB.
