I applied for a position on UpWork. They closed the position and messaged me directly to say I had an interview scheduled over Google Hangouts. They opted for text only, and "hired" me after asking me 20 basic questions that I answered too succinctly for an proper hiring manager. I am to work at home and to set up a home office with a check they are sending via FedEx. Based off my research, this check will more than likely be a fake. I suspect this is some sort of money laundering scheme.
