Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Received in mail flyer type postcard. Showing what a modification could look like. I followed up. It sounded legit. Received documents thru email to fill out. Received two phone calls with a third party, one supposedly from Chase. Had all my information and I believed it was legit. After sending in all the paper work, it supposedly went to an underwriter for review. Came back and said I was eligible for a modification. After I made two payments I decided to chase down the law firm in Ca. It showed an address but didn’t seem to be a working address. I called Chase and they didn’t know anything about it. But I have my doubts about them also. Hopefully ScamPulse.com can chase this down to find out whats going on.

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I was contacted to help lower my mortgage interest rate through a government mortgage restructure. They changed the address so that any communication from my mortgage company would go to them. I sent them money every month that was supposed to go to the mortgage company during the restructuring process. They never spoke to my mortgage company or paid them any money. Now their email, phone, fax, and website are inoperable.
