Type of a scam Tech Support

When I turned on my computer there was an ad it. When I called the number the man came on, asked questions about the computer, may have fixed some things that were not right, and then offered his company’s services to safeguard my computer. The amount he would have charged was something like $350. It was when he asked whether I was going to pay with a VISA or MasterCard, and I explained to him that I didn’t know him and was concerned about scams (unfortunately I mentioned to him that I had been scammed before) that he tried to explain to me, and again asked VISA or MasterCard, that I told him I would have to check this out with the Better Business Bureau. I think it was then that he realized I wasn’t going to give him the information. I am not sure if this was a scam, but throughout the conversation he was being complimentary.

He does have my name, address and email.

Thank you.
