Total money lost $910

Type of a scam Tech Support

Two years ago, computer acting up, and up pops this number to get it fixed. They wanted $399 for the fix.

Then awhile later, they call and ask if computer is working now and I say yes. they then say that I can get 3 years of protection from bugs, just cost me another $399. Then they charge $110 for malware software.

IN the last week, they called again and wanted $500 for lifetime protection that includes identity theft, etc. We recently had our credit card hacked so we got rid of that and they must have seen that, so they saw an easy prey, I guess. This time I refused to pay until I saw a contract. they said they do not send them until 30 days after paying. So I asked for a copy of my previous three contracts (which I do not recall receiving) and they said they cannot send them. I said it has been well over 30 days so why can’t they send a copy and they said it is against their policy to send out copies of old contracts. Finally that was the final red flag for me. They have sent out a pay pal invoice for $500 to me saying they have already conducted the security measures to prevent future hacking. I told them I will not pay until I see a contract. Advice?
