Type of a scam Debt Collections

Claimed to be a collections company to collect a debt for a "verbal subscription" for online advertising. Mentioned to never call again if I made the payment today.

Called and said they spoke to my boss regarding past due notices for closing out an account with them. We never had an account with them. Sent me an email with an invoice asking that I pay it immediately. They told me they removed $400 from the invoice because I hadn’t received the past due notices. Then they called me 10 minutes after the email asking why I didn’t pay yet and when I was going to pay. We have never had an account with them. I am the only one that pays the bills and in all the years I have worked here we have never had anything from them.

Patricia with Premium Business Pages called and told us we owe $1,239.95 for business listings… We have never heard of this company before and we definitely didn’t ask them to do any work for us. There website seems sketchy as well. All of there internet presence is either from their website or from negative reviews/complaints on The BBB. The links they have for Facebook, Linkedin, Google+, Etc. seem to be fake as well. I couldn’t find them on facebook or Google when I searched it either. I just want to stop being harassed. It seems like with all this negativity they should have been shut down a while ago. I don’t know if they are or even ever were a functioning company.

Our company *** *** *** has been contacted several times by this business using name like Lisa Reynolds, Sandy Marx, and Jackie trying to collect a supposed debt of over $1400.00 now reduced to $1050.00 for services I have never requested nor approved. The Lisa Reynolds actually tried telling me she was with another company as well called Data Net Technologies which is another scam business. When I googled these companies I read lots of bad reviews and complaints from other people being scammed just like I was. These people need to be stopped this is ridiculous. I finally received and invoice that I supposedly owe on so I can send that to show what they are using as an "Invoice".

Type of a scam Yellow Pages/Directories

Representative had told me that I signed on for a 2 year agreement and that I had unpaid invoices since May. She also stated that I had made a verbal agreement. When asked for her to play my verbal agreement she simply stated that it wasn’t her department. She then stated that she would send me invoices and that she would just keep me on for another year, I tried telling her I don’t want any of their services and she hung up on me. They call from an unknown number. I have neither heard of this business before nor made any agreement with them.

My phone rang with an "Unknown" number on the caller ID at 10:26 AM on 11/09/16. They said that they were a "collections agency" and that they were collecting money I owed on an invoice. The company they said the invoice was from was "Premium Business Pages" and that I had agreed to a "legally binding verbal contract" with this business to receive Search Engine services for my business. I had never signed up for such a thing.

She told me that the company had sent me multiple invoices since December 2015 and I replied that I hadn’t received any. I asked her where they sent the invoices. She gave me my -home- address, but not my -post office- address which is the address I use for my business.

After some talking with the agent from the "collections agency," (which she said I owed $1000+) she said that she could waive the collection fee and the service fee, and only charge the disconnection fee that Premium Business Pages was charging (bringing the total down to $550). After that, I told her that none of this sounds legitimate and that I would contact Premium Business Pages and find out what was going on and then I would call her back. She stated that she could transfer me to the company AFTER I resolved my debt with her, and she refused to give me any contact information for Premium Business Pages. She also said that Premium Business Pages **no longer** has my information and that her agency was the only one who had it now. I replied that if I did business with them, they will have it, and that I will talk to them first. I then asked for HER contact information (name and number) so I could give her a call back after I spoke to Premium Business Pages. She refused, I pressed her for it asking why she won’t give it to me. I kept pressing her for her information and she said she would e-mail me the information that she had. I refused to give her my information and she angrily said that she was going to pass my case through to her company’s legal department and they will deal with me in small claims court and hung up on me.

Afterwards, I did look up Premium Business Pages and found a couple on BBB, both with F ratings. I called both of them – the number in California doesn’t work anymore, and the one in Chicago sounds more like a home answering machine that is on Auto-Answer. I’ve tried this one a couple of times and it’s not possible to get through.

This "agency" will not give any information about themselves. They knew some information about me, but it was very minimal. I sincerely believe this is a scam and they need to be dealt with appropriately.

They have been calling almost every day for payment of service they never supplied.

They said we owe more than $ 1500 for the service we never ordered. Now they came down to $700.

When we asked their name and address they hung up.

Finally last person gave us the physical address so I’m reporting here.
