Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I got a flier in the mail from a local dealership with a game. The game consisted of a card with two columns. One column with numbers exposed ($25000, $5000, $2500, $100). The other column parallel to column #1 had numbers covered. The goal is to match one of the exposed numbers with one of the covered numbers, assumed one of them matched you win what amount that matched number was. (i.e. if you match $2500 with the number next to it, you win $2500). The flier then said to call the number listed on the flier with the confirmation number next to the telephone number to confirm you’re a winner and verify the name. I was confirmed a winner and was asked to go to the dealership to claim my prize. Once I arrived to the dealership, I was greeted and immediately I was asked for details about what car I drove (year, make, model and mileage). Curious to see where this was going, I followed along. Once I gave them the details, the salesman then started to pitch me new cars. Asked if I wanted to trade in my car for something better. I refused. He then pitched me a low monthly payment car, which I also refused. Eventually, he said the way the game worked is if I win on the flier, I have to match the confirmation number posted on a poster, which had listed the prizes ($25,000, $5000 etc) with a number right under them. The number right under the prize you "won", must match the confirmation number on the flier. If that number doesn’t match, you’re not a winner. I was given a "consolation" prize which was a $5 Walmart gift card. False advertisement and a huge waste of time.
