I just received these same checks and scam. The post office caught it for me because they required COD which is rare anymore and also the label looked real but wasn’t. These people need to go to jail for sending these scams to people. I do my research but I know a lot of people who would take this seriously. It’s awful to do this. I returned it to sender.
I hope they people get caught for things like this which is the second time. Actually, when some one told me about this envelope I thought to myself oh another scam it is not real.
This letter ended up in my box. I tried to cash it but the guy took the check and stamped VOID across the middle of it. I am so sad that people actually do things like make people believe they are getting real money. Especially for ones that are less of funds that is all bad.
