My name is     ***, and I work for ***Company. On January 7, 2019, I received a call that a Consumers Power Energy Technician was 30 minutes away and coming to shut off our power due to no payment. I had a bank statement showing that the checks I issued to Consumers Power had been cashed and cleared our bank account. I was told I needed to go to their main office at 3030 M-40 Hamilton, MI to pay the amount I owed ($1,798.03). Hamilton is about 1 1/2 – 2 hours away. My second option was to go to a local Office Max and get a Money Pak for the amount of $1,200.00 to clear up my account. No one showed up in the 30 minute time-frame. We still have power this morning. I spoke with a man named John and then to a finance person named Peter who told me to contact him back at 1-800-563-9850 Ext #301. He said someone from the finance department would be follow up with me today.
