Type of a scam Tax Collection

I received a call on my cell phone (6:45 am PST) and answered. It was a recorded message saying that they were from the CRA and I intentionally tried to de-fraud the government and if I don’t call back immediately I risk circumstances. I called the same number 226-210-1057 from a LAN line as I was at work. They stated it was CRA and they repeated the same message that I am in violation of de-frauding the government and there is a warrant out for mine/husband’s arrest, I will be spending time in jail, my assets will be frozen and won’t be able to access until all that is owed is paid, asked for my lawyers name to represent us in court, etc. The phone connections was not good and it was breaking in and out and I couldn’t get all the information. Unfortunately I did give some personal information including my SIN #. I asked if this was for real and at that time my co-worker overheard me and told me to hung up right away. I called my local police which in turn gave me the fraud #, which inturn guided me to contact CRA which I couldn’t get a hold of till 2pm. I heard of such scams, but it seemed legit and I was scared that I was in some violation and my accountant didn’t file my taxes correctly. When I finally got to talk to CRA, they will ALWAYS give you an agent number and if you don’t get that it is NOT real. They also said no one would be contacting you through the phone, they will contact you through mail. Made calls to my bank, credit card companies and so far nothing has surfaced. DON’t be fooled.
