Total money lost $4.95

Type of a scam Phishing

I called the AT&T Technical support number and an automated message told me I won a $100 Walmart gift card. After collecting my information including debit card to pay for $4.95 shipping fees, an agent read me terms and conditions of a service I did not subscribed to. I told I did not wanted the gift card and I did not authorized the charge on my card, I asked for a reference call # multiple times and they did want to provide. She told me I could call 800 211 8712 to follow up on the status of my gift card, she turned aggressive saying my card was charged already. After hanging up, the same operator called me multiple times from 800 360 6704. I closed my debit card and place a credit freeze. When I called the AT&T Technical support again, I heard a different pre-recorded message to reduce debt. The third time AT&T answered at the same number. I am astonished that the the AT&T number can be in some way re-routed to these scammer.

When calling the number listed on the internet for Bath and Body at First Colony Mall, the caller is routed to agents stating there is a high call volume. As a result, the alleged agent states the caller has been chosen to receive a $100 gift card. The agent then attempts to get the address, name, birthdate, and banking information of the recipient in order to mail the gift card and states she needs the banking info for a fee to mail the card.

A person called me in regards to a $100.00 gift card to shop a a place of my choice. I proceeded to give them some of my in formation but did not give them my full name on the card. I then was transferred over to a Supervisor from the customer REP Mark Ryan Harris ,then talked to John Dorsy . I was then transferred over to the supervisor who refused to give me his name and said HA HA I an not giving you a confirmation number and hung the line up on me . I called back they refused to let me speak to a Supervisor. They charged my card card $4.95 for shipping and handling on the gift card for $100.00 they where supposed to mail to me which only would be around $0.45 to mail to me. so I continued total back and they refused to let me speak to a Supervisor or manger of the company. The said they where members of the Better Buisness bureau ScamPulse.com so I proceeded to ask them for there ScamPulse.com # but they could not provide me with one as I continue to call they continued to hang up on me and told me do you think I am as stupid as you are MR. witch II found to be very disrespectful . Therefore I do believe that they are running a scam to get peoples financial info so they can charge up many people credit .

Type of a scam Credit Cards

I received a phone call from 678-786-9575 with a recording that I had been selected to receive a $100 gift card redeemable at Walmart and target. When I spoke to the rep Anna Lopez (ext 0228) and told me I was going to receive $200 as a valued customer at Walmart for the last 6 months. No strings attached, valid for 1 year. She just needed my credit card information to process at $8.90 fee. She assured me that I was protected from fraud and the call was recorded. In the end, she hung up because I was checking their validity online and "wasting her time". I see that similar fraudulent activity has been reported in 2014. Please kinda send another reminder to unsuspecting consumers. Thanks!
