I received a check to cover my winnings from the Platinum Lottery, Inc. to pay the taxes on the winnings of 500,000.00. The check looks legitimate from Wells Fargo Bank. They listed a New York office and an England office. Both same phone number. The check was for $6,990.00 which was deducted from my winnings. I was not to do anything until I talked to a Marvin Lawrence to start the claim process. I am going to destroy the check and letter unless I hear otherwise from the BBB.

 Consumer received a piece of mail along with a check stating that he had won $500,000 in a lottery. He received a paper check in the amount of $6,990, which he deposited into his bank account. The phone number in the letter is 204-216-0355 and the contact person is Marvin Lawrence. The person who signed the letter is William Harrison. Consumer says that the company or check is from London or the UK.

received a letter with a check telling me I won 500,000 check was for 6990 to help pay the taxes, shipping ins. etc of 6500. was supposed to call the "claims agent" to start the claim process didn’t do it, will not. There were 2 addresses, 1st was US office: PO box 4400 New York 10022, 2nd was UK office: 3772 Sir Newton Blvd London Telephone 1-204-216-0355
