Type of a scam Debt Collections
This fake company pretending to be Piedmont Legal contacted my mother of 60yrs at work on her desk phone, and apparently told her that she is being sued and responsible for a bank account that I (her child) opened in my own name in 2011 that I owed on. For one this isn’t true because I am currently paying the bank off and for two this bank doesn’t sell its accounts. How can a person who is not on the account be responsible for anything?
