Type of a scam Business Email Compromise

I was told I had been qualified for a secret shopper, that I would be paid $300.00 per survey and that I would receive the information in the mail within 2/3 days. When the package arrived it had a long list of instructions beginning with texting the company to let them know that everything had arrived, which I did. This was at night so the next day (today) I contacted the bank, which was here in Alabama, just to be sure the check was good. It was invalid and a scam. Next I tried to contact the ScamPulse.com in Huntsville, AL but they don’t deal with out of state complaints. Since the supposed Co-Ordinator (Peter Williams) was in Washington State I contact the Dupont WA ScamPulse.com but they gave me the phone number of the Federal Identity Theft Agency. That didn’t work either. And since the mailing address on the envelop was in Las Vegas, NV, I contacted you. The name on the return address was Melodie Whitehead. The check was in the amount of $1,880.03 and I was suppose to take my $300.00 out of that amount and use the rest in shopping Walmart, making purchases and sending money via the Walmart Money Center. I was to report on all the employees with whom I delt as well as the store, the cleanliness, and everyone’s attitude. I know that I’m not the only senior they have targeted and that’s a lot of money to lose. I hope you as well as Washington State and the federal government can stop these people and, hopefully, put them in jail. ( I coule not figure out how to give you a copy of their two e-mails. I’m sorry. I’m almost 80 years old and not good on the computer.)
