Type of a scam Online Purchase

I phoned the number advertised for Pet Adopt Homes. The advertised was at Vancouver General Hospital. The person did not answer, but I got a text back a minute later. The phone number was in the 770 area code (Atlanta, Georgia) The phone number was 1-770-800-3725. The person told me to look for a pet on Petfinder, so I figured this was a legitimate sale. I told him/her the pet that I wanted and he/she told me to text a picture. I did that. I asked this person how I pay, and they said to sent money by e-transfer. After texting back and forth for about a day or two, this person finally told me that I would be unable to get this cat because he is sick.

Next, I asked about choosing a different cat. This person asked me to send a picture and then wanted $200 more. I sent both the $200 by e-transfer and the picture via text. After texting back and forth, I realized I wasn’t getting the cat. This person said they would refund the money. This person said that because the delivery men were stopped by the cops due to COVID-19, would I be willin to pay half of the bail money to get these guys out of jail. Half of $300. I said no. Refund. This is when they stopped texting me. I am out a total of $320.
