Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I was contacted and said I qualified for the 5000 loan I applied for. I was to get a 200 Walmart gift card to prove application was active. Waited til it was approved then had to get another 200 so money could be put in bank account. This didn’t work so was going to do western union. Had to get 2 sets of numbers to get money. This didn’t work. Then my contact was put in jail for misusing funds. The Stephen took over. Was going to give me 15000 for loan and the misused funds. Was going to do a paper check to be delivered by FedEx. This didn’t happen. So I an out 5000 I cant afford to have lost this much money. Can I recoup any of the money?
