Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was looking for an English Bulldog puppy for my family for Christmas and found some on Facebook! After about a day of looking through photos and speaking with several people I seen this beautiful all white puppy and the seller only wanted $1200 for him and that included shipping! So I paid the seller the first $450 no refundable deposit through PayPal and the seller sent me an invoice and a contract to sign! I signed the contract, sent it back and the next day I paid the seller $250 through PayPal for the delivery service (paragoncargologistics.com) and supposedly my puppy was on its way! After hours of trying to track my puppy with the email confirmation and tracking # they had sent me and trying to speak with the seller I realized that something was not right! Today I actually spoke with the Supposed delivery service and they informed me that my puppy was currently on hold and that I would have to pay a $500 refundable Insurence fee for my puppy if I wanted them to deliver him. When I messaged the seller and asked him what was going on and told him that I was not paying the $500 because that was not in our contract that I signed he blocked me, the Facebook page is gone, and I have no way to get back any of my $! Me, my husband, and daughter are heart broken and out of a lot of $ at Christmas time! Please be very careful and when you get a bad feeling please do more research then I did because this guy who ever he is really knew what he was doing and had me fooled!
