Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I received an unknown phone number call on my cell phone, and diverted it, and they called back immediately. The ‘lady’ said she was Mary Miller with Publishers Clearing House Unclaimed Dept. ‘She gave me her name, and a pin number for her authenticity. The number used was 876-829-9906, if that is important. The ‘person’ knew my first name, calling me Mr. Ben, but never mentioned my last name. ‘she’ asked me questions and told me I was the recipient of $500k and a Mercedes and that they had contacted me about it on numerous previous occasions. ‘She’ said I needed only to be a US citizen and to have been born here to be entered into PCH. ‘She’ asked me if I was working or retired, to which I replied I was still employed. She then asked if I ‘was retired, right’, and I said no. Then ‘she’ started talking about sending me a certified check for $500k, and asked what the first thing I would do with it when it arrived would be. I told ‘her’ I’d be calling the Police and ScamPulse.com to verify it’s authenticity. She then asked if I would like to call them, and I said I likely would. Still pushing on, ‘she’ asked what I thought about this, and I replied I thought it was a joke. She told me to have a nice day and hung up.
