I applied for a secret shopper job and received a 2- day priority envelope with instructions to text once I deposited the check for $3,850 telling me there’s a restriction on the cashiers check that would be lifted once I deposit it into an active checking account. I would get double pay if I did it within 48 hours. I was to buy 5 gift cards of $300 and 5 of $200 the send them a clear picture of each card scratched off. It felt too good to be true & it always is. Problem is, is I applied to be a secret shopper. The name on the check Shelia Dickens and the man in charge is Michael Plant. Thankfully, my husband said it’s a scam and stopped me from carrying out their request.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received an overnight envelope That I was chosen to receive a Walmart survey packet. I was to go purchase 5 Walmart store gift cards for $300 each and get 5 of them. Then go to Walmart store number 2 and by 5 gift cards for 200 each. Then I am to scratch off the back and take a picture of the number and email it to The coordinator. Then they will deposit a $100 check in my checking account. I would be putting out $2950 out of my pocket. How crazy is that?
