Zirbes Eric from Paychex Inc found me on Fiverr and offered me a payroll assistant position for where I would be printing payroll checks from home and dropping them off at UPS stores for shipping. He wanted to communicate off-site because Fiverr takes a 20% commission so I gave him my phone number and we texted. I would have to get all of the needed supplies up front, the blank checks alone are $100 a box, and they would "reimburse" me on my first paycheck. He didn’t want to give out information about the company or contract other than "let me know when you have all the needed materials and we will go from there", but I need it all within the next few days. I’ve used Paychex in the past for business so I asked him for more information about this position and the company, but he just texted that this is a branch of Paychex. I reached out to Paychex directly and they can’t find anything on this guy as an employee and the fraud department confirmed that this is a scam.

I inquired about a work from home job with Paychex Inc as a Customer Service Representative. After hearing his spill, I instantly knew this was a scam and informed the man I was not interested. Several days later I received a check in the mail in the amount of $2,950 and was told to deposit it into my bank account. I again told the man I was not interested in his scam and that the check had been turned over to the proper authorities. I have not heard a word back from the man.
