Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received an email to apply for a flexible part-time job after applying to different job search websites. The email had a link to website where you apply for this job. The “application” is short and about a week after submitting it, I received texts from an anonymous number informing me I would receive my first paid assignment in the mail sometime in the coming week. The mail included a fake check for $1800. The assignment instructed me as a Mystery Shopper to buy three $500 Walmart gift cards after depositing the check. The $300 left was my pay for the assignment. After purchasing the gift cards, I was instructed to fill out a questionnaire regarding the customer service I received during the transaction and then immediately notify the anonymous number I received texts from. I blindly deposited the check but after thinking about the assignment, I knew it was a scam. My bank account was frozen and then closed a few days later after depositing the bad check. The anonymous number continue texting me for a few days stating “I expect you to complete your current task today. Kindly get back to me when you have completed it.”
