Type of a scam Worthless Problem-solving Service Scam
An Envelope marked URGENT arrived in my mail box. The letter was from Patent & Trademark Office. The letter has bold writing across the top PENDING TRADEMARK CANCELLATION. As a small, like just me, business with very few IP claims this scared me terribly. The letter has the look of a bill with an outrageous price tag, several hundred dollars more than the cost of filing a trademark. It includes signature lines which remove this scammer from liability and litigation from falling for the scam. This is not a government agency, but it is posing as one. This scammer needs to be dealt with.
