Type of a scam Employment

A man from Freelancer contacted me about a job paying $300 a week for online sales of art.

He wanted me to set up a website, take orders and then receive payment via check IN MY NAME for art prints.

I then knew this was a scam, so I went a little further with it to see how obvious it would become that he is trying to commit fraud.

I asked him if I would wait for the checks to clear before sending him payment, he said no.

I simply wrote "So this is fraud?" and I was immediately blocked.
