I received this same text from “Tiffany,” and I have been trying to find out if it was legitimate. So glad I found this. I have blocked & reported the Olson guy and screen shot this information and sent to “Tiffany” told her to never contact me again. Thank you for sharing this information!

I recently received a text message from a “Tiffany” claiming that she was from BlockMedx and that they were currently hiring for a Virtual Assistant with a flexible schedule, paid training and equipment and $30.00/per hour! Sounded awesome. She said to email [email protected] to get in touch for an interview.

He only talked to me through Google hangouts. We did not get on the phone. He asked me numerous questions which honestly seemed pretty reputable, I took the time and answered thoroughly fully thinking this was a great job potential!

He stated he would be in touch the next morning at 9AM on Google hangouts again. 9AM the next day rolls around, he gets on, immediately offers me the job. I didn’t meet anyone, talk on the phone to anyone, nothing. And I am offered the job? He made a grammatical error which piqued my senses and I decided to Google his name with BlockMedx. Nothing came up. And then I saw this RANDOM THREAD THANK YOU GOD. Immediately blocked his number.

Beware! I asked him for an offer letter and he got a little assertive and said I would receive it after the “session.” Then he went on to explain the core values of the company. Just very weird. Knew something was up.

I rcvd a FedEx check from the same individual today, with the same letter and instructions. The check was for purchasing an Apple laptop, iPad, and multiple software packages for a virtual “job” with CompanionMx, Denzell Olson is the supposed “recruiter”.
CompanionMx is in MA, checked sent from a food processing plant in VA, and drawn from a homebuilder business in NC. I emailed Peeler Migirov, copied Denzell Olson, asking who to return the check to: George’s Food, CompanionMx, Level Carolina Homes, LLC, the signed name on the check (Marisea T. Peterson), or to Migirov? I am awaiting a response.
THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM, preying, I believe, on the unemployed and those in need of work. Denzell Olson stated that he found my resume/profile on a job site. Initially, I didn’t question nor doubt it because I’ve applied for more jobs than I can recall on multiple sites. However, after another “conversation” with Denzell, I knew this was a hoax. He avoided my questions, communicated electronically with countless typographical errors and verbiage. I would like to report this as a potential crime that needs to be investigated but not sure who or how to proceed.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Adverstised merchandise for sale on Horse Merchandise Website. Interested party contacted by email. Asked if merchandise still available and for photos. Party made an offer and said would be sending a check via Fed Ex which would include enough money for shipping. Sent me tracking number and contacted me immediately via email after check arrived via Fed Ex. Check was made out greater amount than agreed price with a letter including instructions on what to do "as required" to manage Funds as instructed by interview/hiring manager on line and to provide the following information at a different email address which was the "Paying officer". Confirm full name and phone number. Provide a clear picture of deposit receipt, explain how funds were used, exact amount used, and whom you ordered or got the materials from. Failure to do this would be against companies protocol so do not forget to email me once you receive the check to confirm delivery.
