Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I was first email by Tim with a job offer after seeing my resume on Job Board, the position I had applied for had been filled and he reached out to me with another position. He stated the first month would be a trial period; and my first task would be to purchase items for foster homes for the holidays and I would be emailed a list of items to purchase and will be sent a check in the mail. Upon receiving the check, it is marked with a different employer name: Wacker Polysilicon North America, LLC in Adrian, MI

NOT Paneland… it also was shipped from a different business:

Greenpath Electric Bikes in Brooklyn, NY

I do not intend on cashing the check due to fear it is fake or attached to another victims account. I will post as many pictures for evidence and do hope this helps.
