Type of a scam Online Purchase

I placed an order at paintbrushpaper.com on November 5, 2017 after seeing a Facebook ad. The order was for a custom watercolor portrait and I sent a photo on which to base the portrait on December 11, 2017. I was told that the artwork would take 14 business days to complete. On January 6, 2018 I still had not received my purchase and emailed the company asking for an update. I received no response. On January 10th, I emailed again and again did not receive a response. Today, January 12th, I discovered a group of hundreds who had also placed orders with paintbrushpaper and who had not gotten what they were promised. Confident then that the company was a scam, I initiated a claim for a refund through Amazon Pay.
