Consumer was contacted by Mr. Page Green. Mr. Green also referred to himself as Paul. He stated that he was a private company and, also, stated that he was "part of the government." He used to be in Washington, DC, but was now located in Blackfoot, TX.
Mr. Green informed Consumer that he was calling because she was randomly chosen to win $4,500,00.00 from Publisher’s Clearing House Winner’s Circle. Confirmation number#18699979998. Her prizes, including a car and "some cash", would be delivered by UPS. Consumer was instructed to go to Western Union to send money and call Mr. Green so he could give her the numbers that she would need. Phone number given: 876-248-7853, Ext. 7. He did not specify an exact dollar amount.
Mr. Green asked the consumer if she would like to receive her prize privately or publicly. He also stated that the call was being monitored by the IRS and the FBI to make sure it was all legitimate.
